Fellowship Description:

We are seeking a Product Research Intern to join our Product Department. In this role, you will support the team by conducting investigative research that helps translate product ideas into concrete, actionable plans for engineers. You will work closely with the Product Manager to ensure the Product Development team can move efficiently on upcoming work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and scope product ideas into concrete, developer-ready research briefs.

  • Contribute technical understanding to the product requirement process.
    Investigate technical approaches, tools, libraries, and third-party services to inform upcoming build decisions.

  • Collaborate with engineers to validate feasibility and refine implementation approaches.

  • Identify potential dependencies or unknowns in planned features before developer review.

  • Communicate findings clearly in concise written briefs, accessible to both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Support thinking in data models and database considerations at a high level.

  • Help maintain sprint board accuracy by flagging tickets that may need attention.

  • Assist with content review and other product support tasks as needed.

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a college/university program in Computer Science, Web Development, Technology Management, or a related field.
    Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • An interest in environmental education and sustainability topics.

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or graduated from a college/university program in Computer Science, Web Development, Technology Management, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
An interest in environmental education and sustainability topics.
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.


Time Commitment: 10-30 hours / week
