Wastezon

Operations Support Fellow

About the Organization:

Wastezon is a Rwanda-based cleantech social enterprise advancing the circular economy through AI, materials science, and community-based e-waste recovery. We extend the life of electronics through collection, repair, refurbishment, and recovery of valuable materials.

With operations across Rwanda, Wastezon has engaged tens of thousands of households, recovered and refurbished 1,400+ tonnes of e-waste, and built a network of 150+ community agents and technicians. Our model creates green jobs while making technology more affordable and reducing the environmental impact of electronic waste.

We are now advancing toward urban mining, using AI and materials science to trace, identify, and recover valuable secondary materials from discarded electronics.
