About the Organization
Our Climate Education Fund empowers young people to advocate for science-based, equitable climate policies at the local, state, and national levels. Through fellowships, leadership training, and civic engagement programs, we equip youth with the skills and resources needed to participate in democratic decision-making and advance climate justice solutions.
Fellowship Description:
Our Climate is requesting a visual effects intern to help edit videos created by our team, assisting our communications team in pushing out content on our social media. This video editor will work closely with our communications and social media intern, by editing the videos created by this individual (as well as other staff) to create empowering content that educates youth currently dealing with the climate crisis. This is a part-time position (approximately 10-15 hours a week). This Intern will report directly to Our Climate’s Fellowship Director.
Qualifications:
Video Editing
Minimum 1 year video editing experience
Must have advanced knowledge in Adobe Premier, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
Advanced knowledge of audio recording and mixing
Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator are highly preferred
Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as well as with a team
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
Problem solver who can work on tight deadlines in a creative environment
Proven ability to handle a large volume of work as well as being a quick thinker/learner
Create engaging video content for Instagram reels and TikTok that highlights Our Climate’s campaigns including: Carbon Dioxide Removal, Resilience as Resistance, Individual State Programs
Help in developing a reliable, consistent presence and content strategy on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Create engaging video content for Instagram reels and TikTok that highlights various intersectional environmental justice topics.

Knowledge and experience in communicating intersectional climate and social justice topics for a youth audience
Experience in content creation for social media
A passion for climate and social justice and knack for following social media trends and buzz
A results-driven, self-motivated candidate who can take initiative and work independently
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours / week
