10Power is a social impact enterprise that works with frontline communities to build, own and operate renewable energy infrastructure for climate justice. We are driven by the communities we serve and apply a workforce development, gender equity, and Indigenous Rights lens to all projects. Our work promotes energy access, sovereignty, and innovation. We provide project development, grant-writing, project management, and partnership-building. We are a woman and BIPOC-led organization with a small, dynamic team. This is a fast-paced internship where you will be encouraged to take initiative, elevate marketable skills, and build strong working relationships.
Fellowship Description:
As a Grants Administrator Fellow working closely with the Grants Coordinator, the main tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Managing 10Power’s grant workflow; Setting up templates for proposals and form submissions, co-writing drafts, and supporting the entire application process
- Researching grant opportunities regionally and internationally dealing in innovation and renewable energy, managing funding opportunity database, creating summary sheets
- Communicating potential opportunities to 10Power staff, participating in meetings with project partners, and taking meeting minutes
- Researching alternative funding pathways and potential expansion opportunities for 10Power
- Assisting with management, reporting and fulfillment of grants secured
Qualifications:
You have:
* Excellent writing skills
* Strong research skills
* Strong attention to detail and organization
* Excellent communication and follow-up skills
* Passion for renewable energy and climate justice
* Familiar with Slack, Google Drive, OneDrive
* You will need to have your own computer and internet access
* Fully remote with the ability to join meetings in Alaska and Pacific Time zones.
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours / week
