Gham Power Nepal

UI/UX Design Fellow

About the Organization

Gham Power is a Nepal-based clean energy company focused on expanding access to reliable and affordable solar power for productive use in rural and underserved communities. Since its inception, Gham Power has deployed solar solutions for irrigation, agro-processing, and small enterprises, enabling income generation while reducing dependence on fossil fuels and grid unreliability.

Through its long-term engagement with farmers and agri-based enterprises, Gham Power identified that energy access alone is not sufficient to improve agricultural productivity and resilience. Farmers also face challenges related to limited advisory services, inefficient resource use, climate variability, and weak market linkages. In response, Gham Power has begun developing and piloting digital agriculture initiatives that complement its core energy solutions.

These initiatives, including the Super Krishak platform, integrate solar-powered IoT devices, satellite data, and mobile-based advisory tools to support climate-smart farming practices, efficient irrigation, and data-driven decision-making. The Keeling Curve Fellowship will directly contribute to strengthening this agriculture-focused initiative by supporting research, product development, and implementation of data-driven tools that enhance climate impact and farmer outcomes.
By bridging clean energy infrastructure with emerging digital agriculture solutions, Gham Power aims to accelerate climate mitigation and adaptation outcomes while creating sustainable value for smallholder farmers and agri-businesses in Nepal.
