Fellowship Description:
-Pitch ElectricFish to vendors to drive favorable sourcing partnerships
-Evaluate suppliers for cost, quality, and value
-Conduct part trials and align sourcing with production build plans
-Develop “just-in-time” ordering processes to reduce lead time
-Model and optimize order-to-delivery timelines and cash flow cycles
-Lead consortium buying and strategic partnerships for high-value items (e.g., batteries)
-Design dual-sourcing strategies across US and China to mitigate tariffs and disruption risk
-Run make-or-buy analyses (e.g., DC-DC converters) with engineering cost considerations
-Track MOQs, lead times, and manage component inventories
-Forecast supply chain requirements to meet future production demand
-Analyze and reduce the cash-to-cash cycle to improve working capital efficiency
Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience in mechanical design, thermal management, or related fields.
-Commercial experience in buying
-Procurement experience, with other countries
-BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
-Experience in refrigeration and HVAC
