Educated Choices Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides food-related education, empowering students and community members to recognize the importance and responsibility of making informed decisions about their food, building a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.
Position Description:
Purpose of the Program: Assist in the implementation of AI tools for both internal and external results
Community Needs that the Program Serves: With ECP’s custom digital platform, educational material is able to be seen by users around the globe, accessible 24/7, and free of charge! The projects developed as part of this internship will help both our platform users by offering more interactive learning experiences, and our team by reducing the amount of manual effort required for repetitive tasks, allowing them more time to better understand user needs.
Position tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Workflow automation, using platforms such as n8n, to map out and implement automated workflows between multiple platforms to remove manual data entry.
- Use AI coding assistants (like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT) to rapidly prototype and deploy interactive HTML/JS web modules, such as student quizzes or logic games.
- Sit with team members to observe their manual daily tasks, identifying bottlenecks that can be solved with AI agents or automation scripts.
- Develop and refine a library of system prompts that the team can use to generate consistent content or code for future projects.
Position Goals:
Goal 1: Successfully deploy a live automation that saves the team at least 5+ hours of manual work per week.
Goal 2: Launch a fully functional interactive widget or game on the company website that real users engage with.
Goal 3: Gain deep experience in how modern SaaS platforms (HubSpot/Brevo) talk to each other via Webhooks and JSON, a critical skill for modern software ops.
Goal 4: Opportunity to learn time management and team-building skills in remote workplaces.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to write code, debug errors, or generate creative content.
- Familiarity with "low-code" automation concepts, understanding the basics of "Triggers" and "Actions.”
- Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - must be able to read, implement, and troubleshoot the code that AI generates.
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a college or university program in the United States.
- Interest in nonprofit, education, food, environment, or health-related issues.
- Available at least 10 hours per week.
- Operational computer with reliable internet.
- Basic understanding of Google Workspace.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain a work permit if under 18 years of age.
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/week
