About the Organization:
Waste Warriors is a non-profit organization focused on transforming solid waste management systems across ecologically sensitive Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). We build community-led, sustainable, and scalable waste management models through community engagement, institutional partnerships, technology integration, and government support. We work in 10+ locations focusing on climate change mitigation through waste diversion and behaviour change towards waste.
Fellowship Description:
Waste Warriors is seeking a Fellow to support strategic outreach and engagement with global family foundations and philanthropic organizations focused on climate change mitigation and circular economy solutions in India. The Fellow will build a comprehensive internal database of target foundations, conduct ecosystem research on Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) narratives and climate vulnerability frameworks, and assist the internal strategic partnerships team with proposal drafting, concept notes, and funder intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Graduate student in International Development, Environmental Policy, Non-Profit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Interest or background in climate finance, philanthropic funding landscapes, or strategic partnerships in the Global South.
- Strong research, narrative synthesis, and institutional writing skills.
- Familiarity with climate change mitigation strategies, waste management, or regional development narratives (specifically IHR context) is preferred.
Time Commitment: 20-25 hours per week
