Layla King (she/her/hers) is a current senior at George Mason University where she studies Communications with a concentration in Journalism and minor in Sustainability Studies. Growing up in a generation where our hopes and dreams of a future are superseded by the growing climate crisis, her desire to aid the climate movement became clear. Through her journalism and sustainability coursework, she aims to develop effective climate communication that resonates with youth and encourages them to participate in the upkeep of our planet. She believes that by linking climate change with topics like economics, education, and public health and safety along with using social media will empower youth.
