Theresa Ottilie König studied a BSc Economics at Humboldt University Berlin and a MSc Economic Policy at SOAS, University of London. She is currently pursuing a second master's degree in Asian/African studies at Humboldt University Berlin, as her research on food security and land rights integrates economic and cultural aspects. With work experience in consulting, development and political instititutions in Germany, Mexico, and Bolivia, she strives to contribute to economic research and an economic system which focus on holistic well-being.

Theresa is excited to bring her background in economics, quantitative and qualitative research and political ecology to the Ecumenical Advocacy for Land, Water and Food Justice programme of the World Council of Churces, supporting its mission to generate and spread knowledge on the topic and speak up for marginalised communities.
