Riya Dhar (she/her) is an emerging climate professional passionate about climate advocacy in the public and private sectors. She has a M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.A. in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. In the past four years, Riya has interned with the Office of Congressman Mfume, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Green Building Council, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and ElectricFish Energy, Inc. This spring, Riya joins SubjectToClimate as the State Outreach and Research Fellow to help make climate change education accessible to all. She believes that climate education is the foundation of climate advocacy and is excited to contribute to organizational efforts.
