Najla Muhammad

Najla Muhammad (she/her) is a process-driven allied health professional transitioning from clinical practice to public health informatics. Currently pursuing a Master of Health Informatics at Wake Forest University, she builds on her clinical foundation as a Speech-Language Pathologist with over five years of experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities and communities in rural areas. Najla has conducted independent research analyzing healthcare access barriers and disability prevalence in underserved communities, and has recently synthesized survey data from over 8,000 responses to inform policy advocacy and program development. She is passionate about leveraging data science to address systemic healthcare disparities and advance health equity for vulnerable populations. Through her fellowship with the Educated Choices Program, Najla is excited to apply her analytical skills to the intersection of food, health, and environmental sustainability, supporting data-driven decisions that empower communities to make informed choices for a healthier, more equitable future.
