Chioma Adiele
Chioma Ihuoma Adiele is an energy and environmental engineer focused on climate impact research across energy efficiency and waste management systems, conducting feasibility studies and turning quantitative metrics and qualitative insights into real world scalable high impact climate solutions for communities, businesses, organizations and governments.
She is currently working on quantifying the environmental footprint of skincare and cosmetic packaging waste to bridge the gap between beauty innovation and climate action, while also engineering circular waste pathways that measure, reduce, and eliminate the climate burden of beauty packaging.
Chioma holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, alongside a multidisciplinary Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management. Her experience spans across high-impact initiatives, including working on corporate energy distribution projects at ABB, designing community-led energy solutions in Unst, Scotland, evaluating building energy efficiency code impact in Nigeria, and contributing to a plastic avoidance program in India.
As a Climate Impact and Carbon Analytic Fellow, she is particularly focused on quantifying and accounting for greenhouse gas emissions from waste in the Indian Himalayan Region. Her work lies at the intersection of waste management, greenhouse gas accounting beyond carbon metrics, and socio-environmental co-benefits.
Through the Constellations Fellowship, she aims to deepen her expertise in greenhouse gas emissions accounting, helping waste management organizations accurately measure, account for and report the climate impact of their operations as well as scale high-impact, verifiable waste reduction solutions.
