My name is Chantelle Tauya. I am an environmental scientist and development practitioner from Zimbabwe with experience in environmental planning, monitoring and evaluation and community programme implementation across several provinces in the country. I have worked directly with communities to design and implement programmes that respond to real environmental conditions on the ground. This work has required me to move between field level engagement and the policy landscape, translating climate data and spatial analysis findings into action programmes and briefs that are specific enough to be useful to decision makers and regulators.

I am excited to bring this background to Solar Sister. What resonates with me about Solar Sister is its conviction that local women are not just beneficiaries of development but the drivers of it. Throughout my work in communities, I have seen how lasting outcomes depend on putting solutions in the hands of the people closest to the problem. Through the Constellations Fellowship program, I look forward to growing my programme development practice and working alongside a team whose approach to community-led solutions aligns closely with my own.
