Ceciliah Njagi

Ceciliah Njagi is a PhD student in Environmental Studies and Community Development at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya, where her research explores carbon trade, ecosystem restoration, and rangeland management. Her work sits at the intersection of environmental science and community development, examining how climate finance mechanisms and land management practices can support both ecological resilience and the livelihoods of the communities who depend on these landscapes. As an ecologist and environmental researcher, she is particularly interested in how carbon markets can be designed to deliver real, measurable benefits for degraded ecosystems while remaining equitable for local stakeholders.
