Jake Wellman
Sustainability Consultant
Jake Wellman is a sustainability expert and consultant based in Denver, Colorado. He has over a decade of experience advising Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and leading global NGOs to develop and scale climate solutions across the energy, infrastructure and travel industries. Throughout his client service, he developed business cases and capital strategies for a wide range of climate technologies and cross-industry partnerships to deploy them. He brings a passion for new business building and assessing the holistic impacts of climate investments.
Jake began his career in government, working on energy and environmental policy at the US Department of Transportation. He has worked in the legislative branch in both the US and the UK and brings a grounded perspective on the policy environment for climate technologies. Following a decade in consulting, he joined carbon capture technology provider CarbonQuest as a Director of Strategy and Market Analysis to develop market entry strategy for a number of hard-to-abate industries and clean, firm power generation.
He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, London School of Economics and the University of Bristol – where he studied environmental economics. During his studies, he was honored with both a Marshall Scholarship from the UK government and a Harry S. Truman Scholar from the US government.
